J-A Dupont Castro

Jacques-André Dupont Castro is a french-colombian transmedia artist who navigates the digital, performance and graphic arts fields. He uses the projection mapping medium to build bridges between distant disciplines and concepts.
Since 2014, he has been developing the practice of paintmapping, in which he choreographs light in space in collaboration with visual artists.
He has collaborated with international artists of the contemporary art and street-art scenes: Tape Over (De), BLO (De), Psoman (Fr), Oliver Vernon & Damon Soule (USA), JUMU (Pe), Jonathan Ouisse (Ho), YANDY (Pe), Giulia Zanvit (Fr), Henri Lamy (Fr), Abdoul Khadre Seck (Se), V2M (Es), WENC (Be), Quetzilla (Fr), Klebebande (De), Allias (Fr), Erika Schwindte (Fr), Guineo (Col), Fuan Nexio (Col), Teca (Col), Kenta Collective (Ug)…
He has played in many different contexts from theaters, clubs to Electronic music and New Media Festivals like Fusion Festival (De), Ozora (Hu), Nyege Nyege Fest (Ug), Mapping Festival (Sw).
Jacques-André is currently working at L’usine, Poët-Laval, France.
He is part of the 2022 collection of the Institut Français.
